TALKS

A Toolbox Safety Talk (TBST) is an informal group discussion that focuses on a particular safety issue. These tools can be used daily to promote a department's safety culture and facilitate health and safety discussions on construction sites. These group discussions are normally short and are generally conducted at the construction site prior to the commencement of a work shift. It is one of the most effective methods of refreshing workers' knowledge and exchange information with experienced workers. Whether your crew consists of new hires or is full of seasoned workers, using Toolbox Safety Talks will enhance your company's safety awareness and education.

The CSSI team recommends conducting regular TBSTs at the start of the day as a "best practice." Having these readily available is a must for any safety-conscious company committed to making safety a priority on and off the job site.

MBI member firms and retainer clients have exclusive access to CSSI's library of TBSTs. For non-MBI members, you can also acquire a one-year subscription. For details, please contact Nichole Fry at NFry@MBI.Build.
